This book gives hope to those who feel hopeless, the addicts and the families who love them. I recommend this book to anyone who is suffering, whether it is the addict or those watching the destruction addiction can bring to loved ones and those who love them. With opioid addiction in epidemic proportions world wide, the need for facilities like SOBA that treat the whole person, is desperately needed. Great book!
I love this book. Once I started reading it I could not stop. A great story by a great man. I personally witnessed parts this mans life and I can tell you from what I have seen and read, it is true. I think everyone should read this book, those who have done drugs to those who have not to those helping someone on drugs, everyone should all read this book. Thank you Greg for sharing your life, for having the courage to admit so much, and for devoting your like to helping so many others.
Absolutely captivating. I couldn't put down the book; I read it straight through. Addiction is like being on a roller coaster that you can't get off of but so want to. Recovery is possible one day at a time. GOD never forsakes us. It us that choose not to walk with him and HIM that carries us through for his purpose. When we surrender and let HIM take control our lives we are changed forever...Definitely recommend reading this book!! Thank you Greg for having the courage to share your story with the world.
A must read for all who are suffering with addiction or know someone who is. This is about a man who grew up in poverty who's hard work and dedication took him from poverty to success. This is a very touching story about Greg Hannley's fight to the top. He worked hard and vowed to his father that he would never turn his back on anyone in need. I know that he never broke his word. He has been helping people struggling with addiction as if they were his own family. He continues his hard work and dedication to safe lives and give them a chance that no one else would give them. He has shown us his journey and it is a testament on how to treat others.. This is a book that everyone should enjoy.
Brother Greg tells of a roller coaster ride to business success and a ride on the roller coaster of drug and alcohol abuse. This is book is a must read for anyone with a monkey on their back or who has a loved one in that situation. Greg's theory is that those of us who are most vulnerable to this disease might be the forgotten ones of the family.
It's an inspiring true story of a man with a big heart & big dreams who became an ultimate success story despite huge failures along the way. Failures and drug addiction that would make most people give up. As you will read, his family moved from a Military base to Arizona and accidentally left their 6 year old son Greg behind, like in the movie Home Alone, except there was no home to go back to because his family had moved out and a new tenant had already moved in while young Greg was at school. From that day forward he was determined to never be forgotten, never be left behind and never be left high and dry with no money in his pocket. Part of his journey found him over his head in meth and cocaine addiction but he lived to tell his story. During a moment of clarity, he found his mission in life which is to help others who are suffering from addiction, to help their families and to be a servant of God to be used to bless others and save lives. This is a must read book that will inspire you.
